Chairman Advisory Board YCHI (Zulfikar Alimuddin. B.Eng, M.M)
Mr. Zulfikar Alimuddin is a social entrepreneur, speaker, business owner, and father of a 13-year old boy with autism. When Zulfikar’s son was diagnosed with autism, he recognized the great need for autism services in his community in Jakarta, Indonesia, where resources are scarce. He was especially moved by the plight of children with autism and other developmental disabilities who are from under-privileged families, who, without his help, would otherwise have no access to autism services.
As a result, he decided to apply his business and entrepreneur skills to establish YCHI (Yayasan Chinta Harapan Indonesia) Autism Centre in 2008. YCHI is a center that provides ABA-therapy and other services for children with autism and other developmental disabilities, regardless of their ability to pay. In 2012, YCHI became a partner of the Global Autism Project to further improve the foundation’s capacity to serve a broader community, including promoting inclusive education by means of providing more training to teachers and therapists.
Zulfikar holds a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering and a master’s degree in strategic management. His main passion in life is nurturing and mentoring people from all walks of life.
